Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, talented clerk who is seeking the flexibility of part-time working to support the Local Governing Body in various schools across our Trust. Local Governing Body meetings are held at each school three times a year, with an additional pay committee meeting held once per school/per year. We have a range of opportunities on offer in locations including Slough, Hillingdon and Surrey and the possibility of others within Southwest London and Kingston. Please note that some meetings are held in the evening.

As a clerk you will be integral to promoting the effective governance of the Trust and ensure proceedings are conducted in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations and established guidance. You will provide appropriate support to Local Governing Body Chairs by managing paperwork for meetings, providing draft agendas and producing accurate and concise minutes of meetings whilst maintaining up to date information on membership. In addition, you will advise the Local Governing Body on procedural matters where appropriate and may also be asked to support ad-hoc panel meetings.

You will be offered job specific training, as well as ongoing support from the Governance Manager whilst being provided with the opportunity to network with other clerks.
