Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an education professional to join our team to support the schools and colleges of the Archdiocese in its wider educational mission. You will be based within the Education Department at the St. Margaret Clitheroe Centre with the post involving travel and direct work with our schools, colleges and academies across the whole archdiocese.
As a department we are focused on improving the standards of education, thereby ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality Catholic education.
The successful applicant will further develop our strategic vision for school improvement in collaboration with our primary schools and other officers in the department. We are seeking an experienced professional who is passionate about school improvement and understands the benefits of networking and working collaboratively.
You must be comfortable in building relationships and analysing data to inform improvement
To thrive in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:
-Evidence of recent relevant professional development, qualified teacher status or relevant degree
-Relevant experience of leadership within the primary sector or Local Authority or similar.
-Experience of school improvement, using self evaluation to identify need for action.
-Ability to analyse data, produce reports and implement changes based on conclusions made from the data.
-Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook).
-Strong leadership skills, knowledge of school frameworks and capacity to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with stakeholders at all levels.
-The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate empathy and sensitivity in your work.
Within this role you will be expected to:
-Work independently to analyse date and relay reports to stakeholders at all levels on behalf of the Director of Education.
-Ensure all schools have access to appropriate advise and support from the School Improvement Partner.
-Maintain awareness of current and future developments within education and contribute to the strategic vision throughout the Archdiocese.
