Summary

Patient Services Assistant (Apprenticeship)
Location: Runcorn
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000+ (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Patient Services Assistant to join our team in Runcorn. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career while gaining a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship qualification.

In this role, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Patient Services team. You’ll manage telephone and email enquiries through to resolution and contribute to the creation and delivery of business reports. You'll also work closely with colleagues across Rowlands and Numark, playing a key part in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our patient services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer queries professionally and efficiently via phone, email, or other communication channels.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Patient Services office team.
  • Assist Rowlands branches and Numark members with patient service enquiries.
  • Support the production and delivery of reports aligned with business needs.
  • Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Patient Services Manager.
  • Demonstrate the company’s values and behaviours, promoting performance, customer excellence, and employee engagement.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Previous experience in a customer service environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
  • An NVQ2 Dispensing Assistant or Pharmacy qualification is desirable but not essential.
