Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support classroom instruction, facilitate learning activities, and assist with the overall educational experience of our pupils. You will work closely with teachers to help meet the diverse needs of our children and contribute positively to their development.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting (desirable)
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with young learners
• Is a good communicator and team player
• Shows initiative and flexibility in supporting the school’s needs
• Has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Is supportive of the Catholic ethos of our school (welcoming applications from all backgrounds)

• Key Responsibilities
• Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and activities
• Assist pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Support pupils with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Assist with classroom management and organisation of resources
• Participate in school events and activities as required
