Summary

ROLE SUMMARY
You will lead media coverage of the Leeds United Women’s team and assist the PR Manager in the club’s busy and fast-paced communications department.

Working closely with the Leeds United Foundation, you will also play a big role in the community, highlighting the great work the club does throughout the region, making a huge difference to the city on a daily basis.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Attend all Leeds United Women fixtures
• Provide updates for the club website for Leeds United Women
• Create and write match reports for Leeds United Women
• Attend Leeds United Women training sessions where necessary
• Acquire interviews with players and management of Leeds United Women, both on a matchday and in the build up to matches
• Attend Leeds United community events where necessary
• Assist PR manager with overall coverage of Leeds United Foundation, community activities and fan engagement
• Assist PR manager with implementation of Premier League’s calendar of PR campaigns throughout the year
• Assist PR manager with upcoming projects, including Elland Road Stadium development and enhancement
• Deal with charity requests, supporter enquiries and correspondence
• Assist with media monitoring and raise communications issues where necessary

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
• Degree in Journalism/PR/Media/Communications
• Full UK Driving License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Work experience in a media capacity, preferably within a sports environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A team player
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, whilst maintaining a high quality of work
• Excellent time management
• Ability to forge strong and trusting relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Outlook, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
• Strong problem-solving skills and quick at finding solutions under pressure
• Awareness of positive and negative PR and ability to flag potential crisis management issues
