Summary
Job Title: Project Planner
Location: Warrington - hybrid, minimum 2 days in office
Job Type: Full-Time permanent / 37 hours per week
Salary: Competitive

The Project Planner is responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules in line with the project controls strategy and schedule management plan. Working closely with discipline leads, internal stakeholders, and external suppliers, the Project Planner will ensure the successful planning and execution of all phases of the project lifecycle, from design and procurement through to construction and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, including logic-driven timelines and construction/fabrication activities.
- Support bid and change activities by establishing new schedules with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ensure timely and accurate schedule reporting to project and senior management teams.
- Integrate key milestones into the plan for client deliverables, material delivery, and subcontractor activities.
- Apply relevant quality procedures and change control processes to maintain schedule integrity.
- Monitor project progress (including subcontractor activities), identify risks, and report deviations or delays.
- Communicate critical path changes, project impacts, and key milestone updates to Project Managers and the Planning Team.
- Participate in client meetings and provide clear, professional progress reports and planning insight.
- Interface effectively with project stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors.
- Support the achievement of project Quality and Health & Safety objectives.
Skills & Abilities
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset, capable of independently navigating technical challenges.
- Strong time management skills, able to prioritise tasks and coordinate with others to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ideally holds a degree in Project Management or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a project planning role, preferably within a regulated or complex engineering environment.
- Familiarity with nuclear sector standards and expectations is an advantage.
- Experience working within diverse project teams, often across multiple organisations or cultural backgrounds.
- Practical understanding of project management methodologies and their real-world application in delivering large-scale projects.
Location & Travel:
The role may require occasional travel to other Orano sites or client locations, depending on project requirements.
