We are currently looking for a dedicated Mechanics Teacher to join a specialist alternative provision in Nottingham (NG5), supporting students aged 13-16 (KS3 and KS4) who face barriers to learning in mainstream education. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons as a Mechanics Teacher for KS3 and KS4 students
- Provide tailored instruction in mechanical theory and workshop-based learning
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed workshop environment
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to suit the needs of individual learners
- Collaborate with pastoral staff and behaviour mentors to support student development
Ideal Candidate:

- A resilient individual, able to teach and support students with challenging behaviours
- Understanding of SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and behaviour support
- QTS, QTLS, or FE teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
Why Apply?
- Make a real impact as a Mechanics Teacher in a setting that values hands-on learning
- Competitive pay and excellent training opportunities
- Be part of a setting that equips students with life and employment skills
