As the Digital Senior Project Officer, you will lead a defined set of interdependent projects and associated business change activities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful delivery of required outcomes, including the establishment of appropriate governance and assurance, monitoring progress, managing risks and issues, and ensuring business readiness for change. You will work closely with project managers, technical experts, and other stakeholders to drive digital transformation initiatives that enhance our operational capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Business Case Development: Development and approval of business cases with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs).
Communications & Stakeholder Management: Identify and manage stakeholder relationships, highlighting the need for senior-level support. Manage internal and external relationships as appropriate.
Guidance: Provide direction and guidance on development to the team and more broadly across the departmental profession.
Resource Management: Secure resources and direct planning, scheduling, resourcing, and estimating for complex and large-scale programmes.
Risks & Issues Management: Oversee risk and issue management, ensuring mitigations are in place and resolved through negotiated agreements.
Benefits Realisation: Ensure the realisation of benefits for internal stakeholders through planning and designing, ensuring that project outputs meet programme requirements.
Programme Performance & Controls: Maintain overall integrity and coherence of the programme and governance framework to support each project. Plan programme assurance activities.
Leadership Vision & Objectives: Cascade vision and translate it into delivery objectives for the team. Lead the programme to deliver the business case benefits and outcomes.
Dependency Management: Work with stakeholders and cross business support as usual to ensure dependencies are actively managed. Act as an arbiter and enforcer to resolve issues between the various elements of the programme.

(Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.)
