Are you passionate about supporting young learners and considering a future in teaching?

An inclusive and friendly primary school in Stoke-on-Trent is looking to welcome enthusiastic graduates as Graduate Teaching Assistants from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience ahead of teacher training in 2026.

While degrees in areas such as Psychology, Education, or Health and Social Care are particularly relevant, we encourage graduates from all academic backgrounds to apply.

What You’ll Gain:
  • A full-time, long-term position beginning in September 2025

  • Competitive weekly earnings of up to £550

  • Practical classroom experience to strengthen your teacher training applications

  • A chance to work in a well-connected Stoke-on-Trent primary school with strong transport links

    Your Responsibilities:
    • Support teaching staff with lesson delivery, group activities, and one-on-one interventions

    • Help students improve their reading, writing, numeracy, and social development

    • Contribute to lesson planning and maintain a well-organised classroom environment

    • Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning

    • Work closely with experienced educators and learn first-hand how schools function daily

    • Develop essential teaching and classroom management skills

      We’re Looking For:
      • Graduates with a minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline

      • Strong interest from candidates with backgrounds in Psychology, Education, or Social Care

      • A genuine enthusiasm for working with primary-aged children

      • Excellent communication, a professional mindset, and a proactive attitude

      • Adaptability, patience, and a team-focused approach

      • Prior experience working with children is a bonus, but not required

Please note: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This is a fantastic pathway into teaching — a chance to develop your skills, build confidence, and have a real impact on the educational journey of young learners.
