The Role of the Building Surveyor
The Building Surveyor will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of land and property. This position involves providing expert advice and support, ensuring all properties are well-maintained and compliant with statutory requirements.

Other responsibilities include:
Analyse building defects and prepare specifications for remedial works.
Compile and issue detailed survey reports.
Coordinate contractor tendering processes and administer construction contracts.
Conduct site inspections to assess quality and workmanship.
Ensure buildings comply with statutory requirements, including planning permissions and building regulations.

About You – Building Surveyor
As a Building Surveyor, you will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience in the property profession, with a strong background in building condition surveys and working with historic and listed buildings.

Other requirements include:
Extensive knowledge of building pathology and appropriate repair specifications.
Understanding of health and safety legislation, including CDM and asbestos control.
Proficiency in Building Regulations and their practical applications.
Ability to access buildings via ladders or scaffolding.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the local area.
