Candidate location: West Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire or North Lincolnshire
Full Time, Permanent, £50,000 + Car
This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a long-established, profitable and market-leading business. The ideal Candidate location will be located in the West Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire or North Lincolnshire areas as the role will involve travel between two sites.
THE ROLE
The successful Sales Manager will oversee our clients sales operation, ensuring the achievement of commercial targets in sales, market penetration, and commercial margin. Key duties will include:
- Actively drive actions to maintain customer satisfaction, quality, and service performance, ensuring the company's image and customer relationships remain strong
- Keep management informed through regular submission of activity and results reports, including call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual analyses
- Establish and adjust selling prices based on cost monitoring, competition analysis, and supply and demand dynamics
- Meet with customers regularly to understand their evolving needs and assess the quality of the company's relationship with them
- Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team, implementing corrective action plans as needed to ensure performance targets are met
- Prepare the budget and various forecasts throughout the year, aligning sales figures with strategic direction and financial goals
- Comply with relevant procedures, processes, and documentation requirements to maintain organizational standards and regulatory compliance
- Ensure targets are delivered through effective people management practices, including performance reviews, rewards, and individual recognition
- Carry out activities clearly and logically, ensuring prompt and accurate communication with stakeholders on activity status and progress
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal Sales Manager will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in B2B Sales and Business Operations, ideally within the agricultural, tyres or machinery industrial sectors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas
- The ability to perform under pressure
- Experience setting sales goals
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of commercial processes
- Knowledge of the MS Office packages
