A day in the life of an Aftersales Manager with this company:
The beauty of the role of an Aftersales Manager lies in its dynamic nature; no two days are ever the same. Each day brings a unique mix of tasks and a diverse array of customers, keeping the job both challenging and exciting. Daily, I monitor several Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that offer insights into our performance and ensure we're on track with our short, medium and long term goals.
My ultimate aim is to streamline our customer processing, ensuring it is timely and hassle-free, thereby earning excellent feedback and justifying a fair price for our services. This requires a blend of efficiency and customer satisfaction, which are at the heart of everything we do.
Beyond the numbers, my day revolves around steering the department towards success. This involves leading by example and fostering a supportive environment where every team member feels valued and confident in their roles. I am dedicated to ensuring that no staff member feels overwhelmed or lost, as a cohesive and motivated team is essential for achieving our objectives. This combination of strategic oversight and personal leadership is what makes the role both fulfilling and impactful.
Duties of the Aftersales Manager will include:
• Drive performance of the workshop technician team to maximise efficiency, sold hours and first time fix.
• Lead the behaviour of the customer facing team to maximise upsell whilst maintaining exception customer service.
• Adopt new digital systems and processes as part of our digitalisation strategy
• Develop the skills, knowledge and career progression of team members.
• Optimise operational processes within the Customer Journey, such as Vehicle Health Checks.
• Ensure Compliance with group financial processes, DVSA MOT and relevant Health & Safety regulations.
• Make an impact across the department and whole dealership.
About You:
• Proven experience as an Aftersales Manager within a main dealer environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Experience in a multi-brand environment would be an advantage.
Benefits they offer:
• Company Car Scheme: Enjoy the opportunity to access up to two company branded vehicles with insurance, servicing and breakdown & tyre cover included!
• Company Discounts: Exclusive discounts on new cars and a range of aftersales services, including MOT, body shop, parts, services, and tyres.
• Pension
• Annual Holiday: Start with 22 days of annual leave, which increases to 26 with continued service, in addition to bank holidays.
• Single Private Medical
• Reward Gateway: Access our comprehensive discount portal, Reward Gateway, boasting over 500 incredible deals to help you save significantly.
• Family-Friendly Policies: Take advantage of enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption leave provisions.
• Employee Assistance Programme
• Occupational Health
• Personal Accident Insurance: Enjoy worldwide personal accident cover as part of our employee benefits package.
• Training Opportunities: Access a range of training initiatives and e-learning resources to support your professional development.
