This is a significant opportunity to join Falkirk Council as it commits to putting our people the centre of decision-making. By working collaboratively, you will ensure our communities are given a voice and influence over how relevant council budgets and resources are allocated and spent.

As the Community Partnership Officer (Resources), you will be leading on the mainstreaming of participatory budgeting across Falkirk Council. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the Community Choices Fund and increasing investment in our communities through community health and wealth building and community benefit approaches.

You will have the opportunity to initiate and develop innovative approaches to support our communities to engage, participate and contribute to the delivery of council services.

You will demonstrate the difference and impact this collaborative approach, and increased investment makes to the people and places of the Falkirk Council area in meeting the outcomes of the Falkirk Plan.

You will hold an appropriate degree and relevant, equivalent experience.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage competing demands.

You will be required to work as part of the Community Partnership Team and the wider Communities Service.

Experience of community engagement and participation is essential, as is experience and understanding of community capacity building.

This post involves hybrid working.
