Summary
Maplewell Hall School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community committed to providing high-quality education and support for all students. We are looking for a Bus Driver who is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students and staff to and from designated locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• The Bus Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students and other passenger to and from designated locations
• To quickly establish positive and professional relationships with your passengers and key people at the establishment they attend
• To keep the vehicles in a roadworthy, clean and tidy manner always
• To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operations of the School in transporting students
• Operate a school bus or other designed vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is safe operating condition
• Assist students, in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle
We are seeking an individual who:
• Ability to work on own initiative and proven pro-active approach to work
• Clean valid UK driving licence (minimum 2 years)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working with the Education sector
• A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
• Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding within a school setting

Contract: 34.5 hours per week, 39 weeks (term time plus 5 training days)
Hours of work Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 08:30 – 16:00, Tuesday 08:30 – 16:45, Friday 08:30 – 14:45
Salary: Grade 5, Actual salary in the region of £19,477 - £19,786 subject to 25/26 pay award
