Higher Level Teaching Assistant

It has engaged with current research, considered its implications and implemented a robust consistent approach across all phases. Rosenshine’s pedagogical principles, Willingham’s principles of the mind, Mary Myatt, Kate Jones, and Tom Sherrington are just a few of our influencers. Further details of our unique journey are presented in Issue 18 of the Impact Teaching journal. The school’s last Ofsted inspection was in October 2023. “Robert Bakewell is a school with a big heart. There is a caring, family ethos about the place. Staff and pupils are proud of their school. They are proud to refer to themselves as ‘#teamRB’. The school’s values permeate its work. Pupils know and understand the values. Staff have very high expectations of pupils. Pupils have positive attitudes towards their work and towards each other. They enjoy making a positive contribution to the life of the school. Pupils like being house captains and librarians. Pupils are a credit to the school. They know what is expected of them. Pupils behave very well. They are well mannered. Pupils care for each other. They say that staff quickly sort out any problems and that bullying is not tolerated. Pupils know and understand the school rules. They understand diversity and equality.” The school is rated as GOOD in all areas, however this doesn’t define us. We are #teamRB.
