Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Minute Taker to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts (37 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: £13.47 - £16.31 per hour

Summary:

Plymouth City Council is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Minute Taker to support a range of meetings by accurately capturing key discussions, decisions, and action points.

Responsibilities:

Attend and take minutes at a variety of meetings, including formal council meetings, panels, case reviews, and internal departmental sessions.
Support the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, papers, and supporting materials.
Organize meeting logistics, including room bookings and calendar coordination.
Ensure records are maintained and filed in line with council and legislative guidelines.
Use digital tools and systems to manage documentation and communication.
Qualifications:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) essential.
Relevant secretarial or business administration qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3) desirable.
Essentials:

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Previous experience in minute taking, preferably within a public sector or council setting.
Experience of attending formal meetings and understanding of meeting protocols.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
