Job Identification Job Title: CONTAINER CONTROL CLERK Dept: CONTAINERS
Reports to: Container control supervisor/Manager

1. Role Overview
Work as part of the control team, Liaising with the Container Control Manager/Supervisor on prioritising work and customer requests. Communication is key at all times, both internally and externally. Ensure all aspects of container movements, stock control, repairs and other depot activity is recorded promptly and accurately. Will be fully trained in all aspects of the container control training matrix.
2. Duties & Key Responsibilities:
• General Responsibilities
o Proven ability to manage and forward plan within a fast paced, demanding and constantly evolving environment.
o High level of accuracy and attention to detail is paramount.
o The ability to be flexible to cover depot opening hours of 8.00am to 5.30 pm
o Must remain focused on prioritization of day-to-day emails and tasks
o Positive attitude.
o Excellent team player
o Communication and decision-making skills
o Liase with yard staff via two-way radio system
o Remain focused, professional and alert whilst operating the drivers booking in/out windows. Liaising with HGV drivers coming in/out of depot.
o Input equipment releases/acceptances via internal and external systems
o Customer queries.
o Comply with all company health and safety policies and procedures
40 HOUR WEEK 8.00am – 4. 30pm or 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday
Overtime to be paid at time and half for any hours worked over 40 hours.
