We are seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to join our dedicated Residential Care team. This vital role is key to ensuring our residents lead meaningful lives and feel connected to their community.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will deliver exceptional care and support to residents within our Mental Health Care Homes. This includes assisting with personal care, administering medication, and supporting residents in daily activities that promote choice, independence, and dignity.

Hours: 40 hours per week (includes nights, weekends, and evening shifts on a rota basis)

Shift Pattern (Weekly Rota):

2 x Morning Shifts: 8am – 4pm
1 x Long Day Shift: 8am – 10pm
1 x Night Shift: 10pm – 8am

What You'll Be Doing

In this rewarding role, you will:

Provide personal care, assist with meals, and administer medication.
Support residents in their daily routines to promote independence and wellbeing.
Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
Assist in organising and participating in recreational activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders to provide holistic support.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who are compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the lives of people with mental health needs. You will ideally have:

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions.
Experience in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, ideally in a residential care setting.
Experience providing personal care, administering medication, and completing risk assessments.
The ability to engage and motivate individuals with complex needs.
Experience working in a multicultural and diverse environment.
