Your new role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will take on a pivotal role in delivering tailored support to children and young people. You will lead a team of support workers, ensuring the highest standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Engaging with children through activities that promote learning and personal development.
- Maintaining clear and accurate records of care and progress.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A relevant children's NVQ L3 (required).
- A current DBS check already registered on the update service (required).
- Previous senior/leadership experience in a children's residential setting.
- A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with children and young people.
- An understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
