We’re looking for a skilled and experienced HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, or Heavy Goods Vehicle Fitter to join a reputable main dealer team based in Reading. Key Responsibilities of an HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / LGV Technician
Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs to manufacturer and DVSA standards
Perform diagnostics and fault finding using industry-standard tools and software
Ensure all repairs and servicing are completed within agreed timeframes and quality levels
Work closely with the parts department to ensure timely and accurate parts availability
Maintain up-to-date and accurate repair records and warranty paperwork
Contribute to a safe, clean, and professional working environment
Requirements for an HGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / HGV Engineer
Experience in a similar role within a dealership or commercial workshop environment
Level 3 qualification in HGV maintenance and repair (or equivalent)
Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
A proactive approach and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Class 1 or 2 HGV Driving Licence (desirable but not essential)
