Your Role as a Learning Support Assistant
As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with students with additional needs, particularly those with autism, helping them to engage in learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where your presence in the classroom can have a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Supporting students with SEN in mainstream classes and during small-group interventions
• Aiding lesson access through adapted resources and personalised strategies
• Encouraging student confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to implement support plans
• Monitoring and feeding back on student progress

• A graduate (2:1 or above preferred) with a genuine interest in SEN
• Ideally someone with experience or knowledge of autism support
• A Learning Support Assistant who is patient, proactive, and empathetic
• A strong communicator who works well in a team
