Your Role as an ASD Teaching Assistant
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working closely with one or more pupils with autism, providing consistent, tailored support to help them access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop key social and communication skills. You’ll collaborate with experienced SEN staff and benefit from excellent professional development throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Supporting children with autism in class and during targeted interventions
• Helping deliver personalised learning strategies and routines
• Encouraging positive peer interaction and emotional regulation
• Working with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to meet EHCP goals
• Providing regular feedback on progress and behaviour
