Actual Salary (pro rata): £17,777 - £19,437Job InformationNanpantan Hall Nurture Centre is a small independent school in Loughborough that caters for Autisic students between the age of 5 to 14. We are a specialist provision with a maximum of 17 students at the current school site, which ensures that each individual student is given the attention, time and environment that they need to be successful. We are looking for exceptional people to join our team as Learning Mentors. A Learning Mentor is an integral member of the school team who works under the direction of a Teacher/Lead Learning Mentor supporting students' on a one-to -one basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join an outward looking school and to contribute to the development of an Autism provision in Leicestershire. Nanpantan Hall Nurture Centre is more than a school, it is a support network for young people and their families which focuses on 'Laying the Foundations of Success'. The Nurture Centre achieves this by prioritising the development of the students self-awareness and self management skills as a foundation for successful social interaction. What you will need to succeed: We are seeking people who are team players and thrive on working in a challenging but immensely rewarding environment who are passionate about supporting the development of the social, life and independence skills for autistic pupils who have additional Social, Emotional Mental Health needs. You will truly want to make a difference in the lives of young people and their families. Experience in an SEN educational setting is highly desirable as this can be a demanding role. A proactive and can-do attitude.
