We are hiring! - Work with Us
As with any residential dwelling we have faults and repairs that need to swiftly dealt on a regular basis, ensuring the health and safety of all our residents. We are seeking a confident individual who can address and rectify minor issues, with a focus on basic electrical repairs such as fuses, plug malfunctions, and bulb replacements, while overseeing the work of external contractors. Additionally, you will be responsible for basic joinery tasks, including repairing window and door openings. Routine decoration duties, such as applying emulsion and gloss finishes in the internal areas of the Service, will also be part of your role.

The role is predominately Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm, however, we can have a degree of flexibility around start and end times for the right candidate.

The Turning Point Scotland Turnaround service delivers focused services that address the complex and interrelated issues of offending behaviour and problematic use of alcohol and other drugs. In 2018, we redesigned our service to also include a Throughcare model. Since 2007, we have worked alongside councils and social work departments within 22 local authorities including Angus, Argyll & Bute, Clackmannanshire, Dumfries & Galloway, East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Fife, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire. The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

Due to the rural location and lack of public transport/safe pedestrian links, access to a vehicle for commuting to and from work is essential.

Please note that IT skills are required for all our vacancies.

Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
