Summary
Allstaff Engineering Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer for a leading manufacturer based Inchinnan Industrial estate.
We are looking for an experienced multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to join this company. This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and is an integral part of the Engineering Team.
Overall purpose of the role and key responsibilities will include:
• Delivering a preventative maintenance programme to maximise the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) of our machines at the lowest cost on our plant, including automated & semi-automated machines, effluent treatment plant and manufacturing vessels
• Supporting project work such as installation of new machinery and building layout reorganisation and refits
• Completing shift reports and communicating hand over notes to the oncoming shift
• Reporting any defects or production issues to shift supervisor
• Providing a safe working environment and adhering to health & safety requirements
• Planning and coordinating workload
• Striving to improve standards of work and ensure quality processes are implemented
• Making sure housekeeping standards are maintained to a high level at all times
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of the maintenance department and the wider business
The ideal candidate will be:
• HNC/SVQ L3 in an Engineering discipline
• 17th/18th Edition
• Able to demonstrate significant engineering skills in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
• Experienced in pneumatics, following circuit diagrams and diagnosing and rectifying faults
• Experienced in maintaining filling, packing and labelling machines, mixing and processing vessels and various types of mechanical equipment
• Currently in a hands-on maintenance role, within a production/manufacturing environment
• Able to think for themselves and have a positive and proactive approach to problems
Shift working pattern:
• Week 1 - Monday to Thursday, 6.00am - 2.00pm and Friday, 6.00am to 1.25pm
• Week 2 - Monday to Wednesday, 2.00pm to midnight and Thursday, 2.00pm to 11.25pm
Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per annum depending on experience
