SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a graduate looking to gain meaningful experience supporting children with autism in a primary school setting?

*** SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
*** £81–£102 per day
*** September 2025 – July 2026
*** Central Wolverhampton Primary School
*** 1:1 support for a KS1 child with ASD

The Role
In this role, you'll provide 1:1 support for a Key Stage 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Your work will focus on helping them access learning, develop communication and social skills, and navigate the classroom environment. You’ll follow tailored strategies under the guidance of the SENCO, adapting resources and managing behaviour with sensitivity and consistency.

The Candidate
You’re a graduate with a calm, patient approach and a genuine interest in SEN. This role suits someone aspiring to work in teaching, educational psychology, or therapy. You should be confident, observant, and able to build trust with young children. Any prior experience—such as mentoring, tutoring, or supporting children with additional needs—is a strong advantage.

The School
This inclusive and welcoming primary school in central Wolverhampton has a strong focus on SEN provision. Staff work collaboratively, training is offered regularly, and graduates are well supported in developing their practice. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment where children with additional needs can thrive—and where you can build real expertise.

If you want to build SEN experience that matters, apply today.

Due to the volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
