The Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide tailored emotional and practical support to young people living in our care homes. You will have a focus on safeguarding, mentorship, and creating a stable, nurturing environment where each young person can feel secure and begin to heal, grow, and succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
Support to Young People
• Provide guidance and encouragement to help young people overcome trauma, behavioural challenges, and barriers to success.
• Promote education and personal development, supporting classroom engagement and extracurricular participation.
• Help young people with daily living tasks including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a homely environment.
• Advocate for young people in professional settings, attending meetings with social workers, health professionals, and educators. And to also follow and contribute to care plans

Person Specification:
Essential:
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• Empathetic, patient and confident in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
• Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
• Flexible to work all shift patterns including day shifts, 24 hour shifts, waking nights & third person shifts) working a minimum of 160 hours per month
Desirable:
• Previous experience working with children
• Experience in a residential childcare setting

Work Location:
The location/work-base for this role may require you work to from multiple locations. We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.
