What will you be doing?
Looking for your next big challenge? We’re looking for a Senior Construction Manager to lead the construction works as part of our framework contracts across the UK to support our growing EV business.
As the Senior Construction Manager, you’ll be working as part of close-knit operations and construction team. You’ll oversee the delivery of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring high standards in safety, quality, and timeliness. Collaborate with an expert management team, drive risk management, and provide guidance on technical and construction matters.

Main responsibilities include:

- Managing the interface between the design function and the construction managers.
- Training new starters in the policies, procedures and reporting requirements for construction works.
- Support and mentoring new and junior construction managers.
- Ensuring that the quality of the construction works in delivered to the expected standards and in line with the approved design.
- Carry out safety and quality site inspection visits.
- Assist the construction managers in completing the preparation (pre-construction) for construction activities. CPPs, Traffic Management plans, RAMS and Material orders.
- Liaise with the design team in handover of the AFC design pack.
- Management of onsite design queries and provision of construction guidance.
- Monitoring the onsite performance of the subcontractor supply chain.
- Provision of holiday and sickness cover for construction works.
- Client liaison pre, post and during construction works.
- Updating the commercial team on change, early warnings and compensation events.
- Assist the construction manager in the closing out of projects including, defect management, production of the health and safety files and handover to the clients.
- Ensuring the approved programmes are managed and updated in line with the site works and reporting to the Contract Manager on the progress of works.
