Salary: £38,000-£45,000 + Benefits

Are you passionate about automation and control systems?

Do you want to play a key role in maintaining and improving critical process control technology in a fast-paced industrial environment?

What you will need:

We are looking for a control systems engineer with experience in PLC programming, process automation, and industrial control systems. A 2:1 bachelor's degree with 4+ years' experience or HNC with 10+ years' experience in Electrical, Control Systems, or Automation Engineering is essential. As well as hands-on experience working with Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, or similar PLCs.

We are looking for a Process Control Systems Engineer to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring the reliability and optimisation of our automation systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge control technologies and drive improvements in process efficiency and system performance.

What you will do:

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing process control systems across the site. You will work on PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, diagnosing faults, carrying out upgrades, and implementing improvements to ensure high levels of system reliability and production efficiency.

You will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to develop and implement automation strategies, support capital projects, and ensure control systems are optimised for safety and performance. Your role will also involve monitoring industrial networks, working with communication protocols, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

This is a hands-on role where your technical expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency and success of our operations.

You should have a strong understanding of SCADA, HMI development, industrial communication protocols, and control network security. Experience in fault finding, system optimisation, and commissioning new control systems will be highly beneficial.
