Summary

Fixed term up to 31.7.2026 (maternity leave cover)

An opportunity has arisen within Salford Virtual School Team for a Personal Education Plan (PEP) and Pupil Premium Plus (PPP) Co-Ordinator.

We are looking for someone who has high aspirations and ambitions for the children and young people we work with and on behalf of. This means that you will take pride in your role as a Corporate Parent for our Cared for Children and challenge yourself with the question ‘would this be good enough for my child?’ in all elements of your work.

You will be part of Salford’s Virtual School Team working with key partners, such as schools and children’s social care, to ensure that Cared for Children have a high quality PEP in place, and that Pupil Premium Plus (PPP) is devolved to schools on a termly basis on completion of a high quality PEP. In this role you will make a key contribution to ensuring that Cared for Children make good educational progress, achieve good outcomes and progress into positive destinations at each stage of their educational journey, no matter where they are living.

You will be the key point of contact within the Virtual School team for internal and external queries relating to PEPs and PPP and will maintain effective, professional relationships with all partners.

You will use your exceptional organisation and administrative skills to ensure that our PEP/PPP system continues to run smoothly, be fully compliant, efficient and effective. This will in turn ensure that all our Cared for Children have a high quality PEP in place, and that Pupil Premium Plus PPP is devolved to schools on a termly basis on completion of a high quality PEP.

You will use your excellent literacy and communication skills to be a key part of our monitoring and feedback process to schools and partners to ensure high levels of compliance and quality assurance of our PEPs.

You will need excellent numeracy and data presentation skills to be able give regular updates and performance reports and liaise with our Finance Team.

In return, we offer a supportive, positive, and ambitious team environment, hybrid working, and excellent opportunities for professional development.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.

If you have lived or worked abroad for 3 months or more in the last 5 years or 12 months or more (whether continuously or in total) in the last 10 years whilst aged 18 or over, please refer to the link below for details for how to obtain your Certificates of Good Character.
