Summary

Ty Sign Primary School - Teaching Assistant (Level 4)Fixed Term until 31st August 2026 Part time, Term Time Only 32.5 Hours per weekStart date 01st September 2025 (pending safer recruitment checks)Ty Sign Primary School governing body is seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work with teachers, teaching assistants and external professionals in Ty Sign Primary to develop and provide high quality learning and teaching experiences through the delivery of PPA time and other occasional cover across all year groups.
This role will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for whole classes across the school. Assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievements, progress and development is also required.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with colleagues in order to develop and refine their teaching practice.
The successful candidate will:
• meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards
• evidence excellent numeracy/literacy skills and hold qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths
• meet the governing body’s expectation of qualifications as stated in the school’s PPA policy - Welsh Government accredited HLTA status
