The Senior Accountant role at City of Edinburgh Council demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in financial management and organisational change. Working closely with the Head of Financial Strategy and Best Value, you will have the skills to contribute to financial transformation initiatives, drive digital enablement, and foster a culture of prevention-led strategies, the ideal candidate will possess expertise in public financial management while adeptly navigating the complexities of the public sector.

You'll collaborate closely with senior leadership teams to formulate, develop, and ultimately deliver comprehensive savings and transformation proposals. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding our financial trajectory, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. You will work as part of a team of finance professionals who will support the development of savings and transformation proposals, leveraging innovative solutions and best practices to optimise financial performance and operational efficiency.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
