Energy Assessor
We are currently looking for an Energy Assessor to join One Vision Housing, part of The Sovini Group.

This position is a Fixed Term Contract for 18 months.
As an Energy Assessor, you will be expected to:
Be a key member of the Asset Management team, the post holder will be responsible for carrying out energy related property surveys to inform decisions around retrofit works.
Be responsible for onsite validation of all energy related data.
Assist the Energy & Sustainability Manager with funding bids for retrofit programmes to improve the energy performance of the Group’s portfolio.
Commit to the CIH 7 Professional Standards of Conduct in your day-to-day activities.
Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
To be successful in a Energy Assessor role, the skills you will need:
Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification (Elmhurst, Stroma or equivalent accreditation).
Experience of using a borescope to inspect cavity insulation.
Experience of using a thermal imaging camera to identify property issues.
Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, SAP methodologies, and funding mechanisms.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical building data.
Experience using energy assessment software (e.g., RdSAP).
Knowledge of energy efficiency within the housing sector and relevant regulations.
The ability to effectively prioritise, manage multiple tasks and meet required deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills.
The ability to use Microsoft office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
The ability to work in an agile working environment.
To be a team player with the ability to work off own initiative.
Hold a driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.

Ofqual regulated CIH (3,5,7) Qualification or the commitment to work towards.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
Level 4 Retrofit Assessor qualification (PAS 2035-compliant).
CIH Qualification.
Knowledge of Heat Networks.
Experience of working with energy efficiency data and energy calculations within asset management systems.
Experience of working with Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) data and Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP), validating both sets of data along with stock condition data.
An understanding of the funding available to the housing sector and the requirements needed for a successful funding bid.
Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.
