The role is hybrid, primarily working from home. You will also be required to visit our Head Office in Barrow-in-Furness twice per month, for approximately three days per visit. This includes monthly hub meetings with the whole team, and time dedicated to collaborative working with our Credit Risk Manager.

In this role you will:
• Play a key role in optimising credit strategies for the Society, supporting the Credit Risk Manager to ensure the Society maintains a prudent approach to lending whilst supporting growth and financial stability.
• Be responsible for data-driven analysis, risk assessment and model development, to contribute to effective decision-making.
• Conduct detailed analysis of secured lending portfolio, identifying risks and opportunities to enhance risk management strategies.
• Support Credit Risk Manager and Compliance team with lending policies, regulatory requirements (PRA, FCA), and internal governance frameworks.
• Continuously monitor and assess credit risk performance, identifying trends and recommending adjustments to lending strategies.
• Conduct stress testing to evaluate the resilience of the loan book under different economic conditions.
What you will bring:
• Previous Credit Risk Experience (preferably secured lending i.e. mortgages)
• Analytical skills and experience using data analytics tools (SAS/SQL/Power BI preferred)
• Familiar with regulatory requirements affecting credit risk (PRA, FCA)
