We are looking for a Student Supervisor to join the Behaviour Team from September 2025. LGA Pay Scale 5, Point 13-17 £28,163 - £30,060 full time equivalent. Actual pro rata salary £23,396-£24,972 per annum (Pay Award Pending). The hours of work are 33.75 per week Monday to Friday 8.15am-3.30pm (term time only, paid for 47.36 weeks per year). The actual starting salary for the successful candidate is £23,396 per annum.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident person to be our Student Supervisor in the Behaviour Team, who will supervise students during sanctions and reflective work. This role provides a complementary service to existing teachers and pastoral staff in schools, addressing the needs of pupils who need help to overcome barriers to learning inside the school, in order to enable these pupils to achieve their full potential, enable schools to improve attendance and raise standards of achievement and behaviour of pupils across all key stages.
The Student Supervisor will provide an alternative to the normal school day, providing a safe, restorative and purposeful environment. They will supervise students removed from their regular classes for disciplinary reasons within the school, often in a designated area or room. This role may include coordinating work from subject areas, assisting with attendance monitoring, and ensuring students are engaged in appropriate activities.

• Have experience in working in a school environment
• Have qualifications relating to working with children
• Have good organisation and communication skills
• Be a team player
