A Calderdale school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing support to students with diverse educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Support the lead teacher in implementing educational plans and behavioural strategies.
- Work closely with students, providing one-on-one support and group assistance to enhance their learning and development.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with the organisation of school events and activities, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Manage classroom resources and setup, ensuring a tidy and organised learning space.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a special education setting.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
