Teach and support KS1-KS2 pupils with SEMH needs in a therapeutic, specialist primary setting.

A specialist secondary school in Hillingdon supporting students aged 11 to 19 with social, emotional and mental health needs. A primary provision has been introduced to support younger pupils requiring early intervention and tailored support. All students have an EHCP and benefit from a safe, inclusive environment with a curriculum designed to build confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to support young learners with complex SEMH needs. You will plan and deliver structured, differentiated lessons that promote engagement, emotional well-being, and academic progress.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
- Create a nurturing and structured learning environment
- Develop and deliver creative, targeted lessons across the primary curriculum
- Encourage social and emotional development through consistent behaviour strategies
- Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and families
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture
Requirements -
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- Experience teaching primary pupils with SEMH or SEND
- Excellent behaviour management and emotional support strategies
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- A calm, resilient, and adaptable teaching style
