We have an opportunity for you to join North Yorkshire Council working at one of our schools: Burneston C of E Primary School, Burneston, Bedale DL8 2HX. You will be a valued member of our team who will be reliable, dependable and have a strong work ethic.
The Role
Working for NYC as a Caretaker, you will be responsible for the locking and security of the building, responding to emergency call outs as well as ensuring outside areas are kept safe and clean. You will support the maintenance of the building by checking and replacing light fittings, assisting with minor repairs, and replacing consumables. You will support the training and development of the Cleaners on site as well as assist with cleaning duties as directed.
Full training will be provided.
Shift Pattern
The role has flexible evening hours between 6:30pm and 7:30pm, Monday to Friday, totalling 5 hours per week.
For this, you will be paid £12.60- £13.05 per hour.
*The basic hourly rate for these posts is £12.60 - £13.05. For the right candidate a recruitment welcome payment of up to 10% of the starting salary may be payable as a one-off welcome payment.
