What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualifications, skills and experience Candidates must have a GCSE A*, A or B in English and mathematics. A Levels and/or a degree is preferable but not essential. Candidates must be committed to making a positive difference to children’s lives, and be driven by self-motivation. Some experience of supporting children in a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
What the school offers its staff
Deployment The successful candidate will be deployed in a class to support the learning of pupils as directed by the classteacher. They will be placed in the key stage of their choice. Some experience of teaching in a similar setting is desirable but not essential. Full-training will be provided by the school and the successful candidate will have regular, weekly in-house training on different aspects of teaching and learning. The post-holder will be required to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM, depending on the needs of the school. The post-holder will work during term-time (plus an additional week in Easter if required by the school). Candidates must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Being able to work as part of a team while being driven by own initiative is essential.
