Constructions R US is a growing design and build office specialising in extensions, refurbishments, and new builds primarily across the residential sector within the North West London region.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Builder (Multi-Skilled Tradesperson) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in construction and building trades, capable of handling various tasks involved in property development and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general building tasks, including laying bricks, tiles, and building blocks to construct, repair, and decorate buildings.
Pour and level concrete; prepare surfaces for painting and plastering; mix and apply plaster and paint.
Install plumbing fixtures, woodwork structures, fittings, and set glass in frames.
Erect and repair fencing; maintain and repair steeples, industrial chimneys, and other high structures.
Conduct maintenance and repair tasks on various structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely and quality completion of projects
Site preparation, general labouring, and tool handling. As well as managing tradespeople.
DIY-level repair work, fitting finishes, or assisting joinery and plastering teams
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organisation of work areas
Follow site health & safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in multiple construction and building trades.
Vocational training or apprenticeship in general construction or related fields.
Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good physical condition and stamina
Good working knowledge of architectural drawings, planning standards and UK building regulations
Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines efficiently and effectively budget
Evidence of the ability to understand design decisions taken by others
Strong organisational and communication skills - able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
Desirable:
Experience with property conversions and refurbishments.
Familiarity with UK building codes and regulations.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
