Over the last decade, our client has grown significantly and continues to expand its portfolio of works requiring a dedicated team and resource to enable the company to deliver the best possible service to all clients. The Company undertakes works to restore some of the most important and historic buildings in London such as the 'National Gallery' and the 'Bank of England'.
Role Purpose
This role will support our client's façade, stone masonry and painting team by helping to complete different on-site tasks whilst offering their expertise in various construction trades. Previous hands-on experience of a number of skills and disciplines such as painting, plastering and carpentry will enable the individual to perform a wide range of tasks competently whilst on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of construction tasks across different trades, such as carpentry, bricklaying, electrical work, plastering, and tiling.
- Use skills and knowledge to complete assigned tasks efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
- Follow project plans, specifications, and instructions to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Asses required materials, tools, and equipment for specific tasks.
- Procure necessary materials and ensure their availability on site.
- Organise and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for efficient use during projects.
- Conduct repairs and installations of various components, fixtures, and systems according to project requirements.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during repairs or installations, employing problem-solving skills.
- Ensure proper functioning, alignment, and safety of installed components.
- Driving and operating truck mounts, MEWPS and company vehicles.
- Loading, unloading, and strapping down of vehicles.
- Assisting specialists in completion of their duties and on-site support including basic construction tasks.
- Disseminating Health and Safety information and documents ensuring all is completed and compliant.
- Responding to enquiries.
- Working and communicating well within a team.
- Meeting clients and fostering relationships.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Requirements:
- MUST HAVE a Driving licence.
- MUST HAVE previous site experience.
- MUST HAVE 5 years' experience or relevant NVQ or similar for multiple trades.
- MUST BE comfortable working at height as their Truck mounts have a reach of over 50 metres.
- MUST BE able to work flexibly including early mornings and weekends as required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- IPAF 3a, 3b and 1b desirable but not essential.
- A CSCS card is desirable but not essential.

Salary and Benefits:
- Day working will attract a salary of £45,000 p.a. paid monthly.
- Working Hours: 45 hours per week with one hour taken each day for lunch.
- Overtime (Weekends and Out of Hours): 1.5 times for any hours worked over the contracted 40 hours in a week and for anti-social hours.
- Annual Leave: 21 days holiday + one extra day holiday for every full year of employment up to a maximum of 25 days + Bank and public holidays. The company shuts down over the Christmas period.
- Birthday Leave: 1 day holiday given each year for you to take your birthday off or the following Monday if it falls on a weekend.
- Pension: A contributory group personal pension scheme run via Scottish Widows.
