Summary
Are you a dynamic professional with a passion for driving growth and forging strategic partnerships? Sandwell College is seeking a Business Development Consultant to play a pivotal role in our mission to enhance educational opportunities and foster community engagement. This is a fixed-term role until November 2025.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a results-driven professional to support employer growth and position the College as a competitive, innovative leader in the sector. You will maximise the potential of the sales team by developing strategic sales plans and working alongside the Head of Business Development to achieve ambitious targets. A key part of the role involves raising the College’s profile, forging new networks, and promoting our full range of training and development services to large employers. You will actively generate new business leads, nurture existing employer relationships, and identify opportunities for bespoke training solutions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We’re looking for a candidate with a strong track record in sales, particularly in engaging large employers and consistently meeting or exceeding targets. Experience within the education sector is essential, along with the ability to compile and present clear reports on sales activity and performance. Strong communication skills are key, especially when interacting with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will also be confident using systems such as CRM to effectively manage employer accounts and support business development.
