The Governors of St Paul’s Church in Wales Primary School wish to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant who will support the school’s vision of a family of learners who belong believe and succeed together. This is a permanent post.

We are seeking to recruit a kind, calm and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of our morning 24 place nursery class working alongside our experienced team and working in classroom based environments across all phases in the afternoons. The role requires the delivery of planned, high-quality learning experiences for our nursery children. Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be able to develop children’s progress in all aspects of their learning, including their speech and language, literacy, numeracy and independence skills.

The successful candidate will have:
 A Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification o A degree plus relevant qualifications or enrolment within one are also acceptable for application
 Experience of running a nursery
 Understanding of the needs of nursery age children, including working with those with additional learning needs, and the ability to demonstrate flexibility and versatility
 A holistic approach to the well-being and education of learners
 A commitment to our inclusive and Christian faith school ethos
 High expectations for behaviour and learner progress
 A commitment to developing and maintaining caring, supportive and positive relationships with learners and parents
 Excellent communication skills, a team player attitude and the skills to work independently
 The ability to follow and apply whole school child protection and safeguarding procedures
