Summary
Personal assistant required for a thirteen-year-old autistic boy with ADHD and some mobility issues who lives in Truro.
He is looking for someone with whom he can build a positive relationship and receive 1:1 support, so he can take part in activities in the local community and build his independence.
He is very chatty and sociable, and he would like to explore activities and clubs that he might enjoy. He requires some adult supervision to enjoy these activities.
The rate of pay is £13.00 per hour, with potential for a higher rate depending on experience and skills.
There are eight hours per week available, with flexible scheduling to suit the candidate’s availability. Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help a young person grow, gain independence, and make a meaningful difference in their life.
Experience supporting young people on the autism spectrum would be a distinct advantage. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
