Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our nurturing team at Tenderlinks Day Nursery – Elstead. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their holistic development in a safe and stimulating environment.
Responsibilities
Childcare and Supervision
Provide attention e and loving care to children aged 6 months to 5 years.
Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity and social development
Curriculum Implementation
Follow and contribute to the implementation of the EYFS Statutory Framework
Plan and execute activities that align with educational objectives and promote child development milestones
Health & Safety
Ensure a safe and secure environment for children
Follow health and safety guidelines rigorously, including proper hygienic practices and emergency procedures
Communication with Parents
Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns
Attend parent meetings as required
Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with fellow practitioners and staff to create a positive and cohesive team environment
Share insights and contribute to continuous improvement in nursery practices
Observation and Record Keeping
Regularly observe and assess children’s development, documenting progress and any areas of concern
Keep accurate records of each child’s achievements and activities
Inclusive Practice
Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that respects and celebrates diversity
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each child
Professional Development
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay informed about best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
Minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
Relevant experience working in a nursery or early years setting
Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training
Skills and Attributes
Passion for working with young children and contributing to their development
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team
Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude
