Job title: Kidney Cancer UK Healthcare Professional - Nurse
Reporting to: Healthcare Professional Lead
Hours: Part Time – 25 hours per week across 4 days TBA
Salary: £17,00.00 pa.
Location: South of England/ occasional visits to Guildford Office

Role outline:
To be a strong forward-thinking member of our Health Professional Team planning for the provision of patient care through our patient Support Line service, our patient events– online and off-, and in all areas of direct or indirect support that the charity offers to patients, their immediate families and carers across the UK. This role will also include a marketing element in reaching out and connecting with healthcare professionals at all levels across the UK to engage with the Charity and its services. The candidate should be based in the South of England with occasional visits to our Guildford office in Surrey.

Key objectives:
• Build strong, lasting, and meaningful working relationships with clinical teams at cancer centres across your area, ensuring they signpost patients to Kidney Cancer UK services
• Be a knowledgeable, familiar, and supportive voice for patients on our Support Line service
• Be active in our closed Facebook groups as both a commentator and a moderator
• Highlight the support the charity offers to patients and cancer centres at every opportunity
• Build and develop face-to-face and online support groups and other patient/ carer events.
• Be confident in writing and presenting submissions to NICE (training available)
• Be a voice of the charity in cancer groups such as Cancer52
• Ensure, with other members of the team, that all the charity's patient information is regularly reviewed and up to date.
• Reporting to the Healthcare Professional Lead and working closely with the wider Healthcare Professional team, to share knowledge and support when requested or needed

Required skills & experience
• Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin preferred
• Continue development on understanding treatment for kidney cancer
• Confident communication and writing skills
• Some knowledge of marketing or willingness to learn
• Understanding of social media/ IT/ digital skills
• Confident in public speaking and delivering presentations
• Willing to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad if necessary
• Full clean driving licence with access to own reliable vehicle
