JOB SUMMARY
The Music Coordinator/Music Instructor will be working strictly on advancing the Christian
Faith through Music within the jurisdiction of the Zone/Diocese and also advancing the
Christian Faith through training of Trainees in all the branches in the United Kingdom,
develop manpower to support in potential building and raising believers for Christ.
The position holder must know and be conversant with the Vision and Mission, Doctrine and
Practices, beliefs and spirituality of The Church of the Lord (Aladura). He must have a
minimum of 5 years in the performance of the Church of the Lord (Aladura) Rites and
Sacraments in Music, The Church of the Lord (Aladura) Hymnal and The Church of the Lord
(Aladura) Music Notes.
The position holder will organise and coordinate Voice training of our members that would
support the Church members to be fully developed in Music. Train the choristers on how to
play Musical Instruments. To maintain confidentiality at all times as required in this role. He
is also to supervise the implementation of the Music curriculum as assigned by the Church.
Assists the Diocesan Bishop in designing, scheduling, and implementing the Music Training
Curriculum. Assists the Bishop in planning course structure and content in accordance with
the relevant music education curriculum of the Church of the Lord (Aladura). Collaborates
with local Branch Choir Directors in the Diocese of United Kingdom as needed to realise the
objectives of the Training Programme. Makes recommendations on the procurement of
Musical Instruments desired for the growth of the Church. Submits monthly and quarterly
reports on the performance of the Choir Masters including evaluations of performance of
Music Supervisors assigned to the Zonal Churches. To perform other duties commensurate
with the post and the needs of The Church of the Lord (Aladura) UK.
SKILLS/ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledgeable in Aladura Hymnal and Liturgy
Be able to relate and communicate at all levels
Human resource management and development skills
Sound Planning and organizing
Sound skills in curriculum adaptation to suit the needs of music Notes
Basic computer skills.
Excellent writing skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent ability to organise own Music Notes and work under pressure, to deadlines
and with changing priorities.
