Electrician | Birkenhead, Wirral | Full Time | Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Friday, 8:00 am - 2:30 pm | Starting salary of £30,000–£32,000 depending on experience (with overtime available), increasing to £35,000 upon completion of the training and development plan

Our client is a Wirral-based installer of solar energy systems, delivering products that allow their clients to reduce carbon emissions and reliance on The Grid. This is a growing and rewarding sector to work in, where you contribute to helping homeowners and businesses meet their energy reduction needs and support the movement to net-zero targets.

They are looking for an experienced electrician to join their team. The main responsibility will include the installation of renewable energy products, such as Solar PV panels, Battery storage and EV charge stations.

You’ll be working alongside a team of skilled, motivated installers who ensure projects are delivered to a high standard of finish and workmanship. This role offers the opportunity to progress into a Supervisor or Nominated Technical Person position.

Are you the right person for the job?

• Based locally on the Wirral or within a reasonable commuting distance to ensure reliable attendance and minimise travel-related challenges
• Ideally, a minimum of 2 years post-apprenticeship / trade experience
• Electrical Installation NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
• City & Guilds 2391/2 Inspection and Testing (or equivalent)
• Qualifications or training relevant to renewable energy products would be desirable
• Experience installing containment and testing electrical distribution systems to a high standard on residential and commercial properties
• Experience installing and commissioning Solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV charging systems would be an advantage
• A desire to learn about renewable energy systems
• An ability to work outside and at heights.
• A full driving license with no more than 3 points

What will your role look like?

• Install renewable energy products, including Solar PV panels, battery storage systems, and EV charge stations
• Perform electrical containment installation and testing of electrical distribution systems on residential and commercial properties
• Ensure all installations meet high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship
• Collaborate with a team of skilled installers to deliver projects efficiently and on schedule
• Provide excellent service to clients and maintain good customer relationships
