Summary

This is a post doctoral position available in Professor Akram’s laboratory, which is working towards developing a GMP compliant, end to end automated process for integrated protein production.

The job is funded through an Innovate UK grant titled ‘Mastering the Sustainability of Scalable Cell and Gene Therapy Manufacturing’. This grant is in collaboration with Cambridge based BiologIC Technologies. Selected candidate will be working towards designing novel ligands for AAV capture, doing biolayer interferometry or SPR to get binding kinetics of the ligands with target antigens and growing various cell types in the new integrated system being developed by BiologIC technologies.

It is a great opportunity to shape the field of protein production and AAV based cell and gene therapies. Post doctoral candidate will be working in conjunction with PhD students who have been working on an aligned project.
