Frome College have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our Site Team. The ideal candidate will take a proactive role in delivering facilities management services, ensuring the functionality and upkeep of our premises are maintained to a high standard. Candidates must hold a current, clean, UK Driving Licence.
Working hours are 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00am – 3:30pm on Fridays. Occasionally these hours will vary depending on college requirements e.g. Exam periods, parents’ evenings.
The successful candidate will:
• Carry out routine maintenance activities.
• Assist with the general upkeep of building fixtures and fittings e.g. drain/gutter unblocking, window cleaning, painting/decorating.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness across the site e.g. sweeping/clearing paths and walkways and completing waste management activities.
• Assist with collection/deliveries as required.
• Provide adverse weather response, grit paths and clear snow as necessary.
• Comply and promote good health and safety procedures.
